When the descaling warning light -descaling- lights up in orange we will have to do it. First, you will have to check if there are any capsules inside: lift and lower the lid and if there are any it will fall into the used capsule container. Empty it. Then empty the drip tray as well.
Pour 100ml of De’Longhi EcoDecalk descaling solution and 500ml of water into the water tank .
Take the descaling tube located at the back of the machine and connect it to the steam connector.
The coffee maker will go into descaling mode. The notice will blink orange throughout the process and the Espresso button lights up white.
If you have a Dolce Gusto capsule coffee maker, you will have to descale it at least every 3 or 4 months . The machine will warn you when the power button is permanently orange.

To carry out the process, turn off the coffee maker and empty the water that is in the tank. Mix half a liter of water with the descaling product and pour it into the water tank.
Then add the rinsing tool into the capsule holder , insert it into the machine and close it.
Place an empty container under the coffee spout.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds and it will start flashing orange, then it will go into descaling mode.
Push the lever to the hot position and the machine will begin rinsing . When it is finished the light will stop flashing and you can use your coffee maker again.
